1937 Mack Truck Model EJ |
1936 1937 Mack Jr. Truck |
Model railroads recreate a time when the locomotive was the most powerful machine on the face of the earth. Some of that reputation for power and durability transferred to the Mack truck. My father drove a Mack gravel truck in Minneapolis, MN in the early 1950's as the post war expansion kept everyone busy. I remember stories of how much his truck could haul compared to the Chevys or Fords. I am sure boys growing up in the 1920's heard the same kind of stories about the steam locomotives used on the transcontinental railroads of the time.
